Vulcan Stone Flooring Announces December Treats in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania

Flushing, New York - Christmas is coming and Vulcan Stone Flooring (a subsidiary of Vulcan Basement Waterproofing) is opening the season with a new product that will transform an old and musty basement into a beautiful and healthy place for the whole family and friends. Stone flooring brings the magic!

Stone or “pebble” flooring gives new life and hope to a concrete floor. Whether it’s installed indoor (basement, garage, laundry room, play room, hotel hallway etc.) or outdoor (patio, pool area, a backyard garden etc.), it permanently protects the surface from cracks, discoloration and excessive humidity.

stone-flooring-fda-approved
Stone flooring is FDA-approved. It’s made of the finest natural stones which are carefully selected and results in environmentally friendly flooring both for children and adults. It’s guaranteed safe even in bare feet.

Why a stone floor instead of more traditional concrete coverings? Carpets breed molds. Tiles crack easily. Paint coatings peel. Stone flooring has an unconditional 10-year warranty and is engineered for life-long lasting beauty and durability.

Rosemary S posted a five-star review in April 10, 2015. She said, "… From my initial contact over the phone, to set up an appointment for an estimate to the day of the installation of the epoxy stone floor the employees were exemplary not only in their customer service but in their craftsmanship."

Installation is fast and easy. One day is usually enough. A team of experienced contractors will arrive at your
stone-flooring-installation
doorstep and will start the required steps right away.

They will first remove the dirt, oils, grease, paint, tiles, or carpet and will also make sure there are no gaps around the perimeter.

Vulcan Stone flooring is made available in five different colors complementing the theme of the room, basement or veranda. It’s available in Apache, Arkansas Rainbow, Coral, Gray Blend, Pearl.

Theresa S requested a pebble stone floor in her basement and this was her five-star review posted in April 15, 2015.

"Despite the sizeable square footage, the work was completed quickly and beautifully in one day and the team was a pleasure to have around. It is now six months that we have our new floor and we are very happy with the investment. Everyone who visits comments on the great floor …and on top of that, it has been so easy to maintain."

Christmas remains incomplete without a great place to entertain or just sit back and enjoy the season. Next to a house, stone flooring serves as one of the best investments for the whole family, and your relatives and friends will love it.

Vulcan Sump Pumps FAQ

What is sump pump?

A sump pump is an electric power pump installed on the basement floor.

What is the purpose?

The primary purpose of sump pump installation is to pump the unnecessary water out of the area during hurricane and winter seasons.

What are the different types of sump pumps?

1. Primary sump pumps are designed to move gallons of flowing water out of your basement when it's raining.

2. Submersible pump is a primary sump pump that doesn't operate quietly but its noise level is greatly reduced as its motor and impeller do the work underwater. Its works smoothly throughout the downpour.

3. Pedestal pump is a primary sump pump designed for a small basin installed in a narrow pit. Its pump base is submerged but its pump motor is located above the pit.

4. Backup pumps with a float switch supplement primary pumps during unexpected power loss.

5. DC backup pump is a battery powered unit that switches to battery mode once the AC power is down.

6. AC/DC owns a primary and built-in back up systems that pumps pumps on AC power as well as on DC.

7. Sewage sump pumps are installed in the basement bathroom either in the septic tank or separate pump chamber, designed to expel solid and water waste to a septic system.

What are the common limitations of primary sump pump?

  • Excessive use
  • Mechanical failure
  • Power outages

Can I buy backup pumps with traditional batteries?

Yes.

What's the difference between backup pumps with traditional and maintenance-free batteries?

Backup pumps with traditional batteries are made up of acid in which water is added occasionally for good functionality while those with maintenance-free batteries only require timer setting.

How to select the right sump pump for my basement?

Step 1: Choose the sump pump with the right amount of horsepower (HP) and with less maintenance.

A high horsepower pump requires a bigger sump pit. Average-sized homes with average water table (defined as “The upper limit of the ground portion that is totally saturated with water”) require a 1/3 HP sump pump.

Average-sized homes with above-average water table need a sump pump with 1/2 HP.

Homes with high water table, which are susceptible to flooding, need 3/4 HP.

REMEMBER: Ask your local basement waterproofing company if you're unsure what water table you belong.

Step 2: Choose a battery backup sump pump according to your need and budget.

Step 3: Install a heavy duty sewage pump system when there's a functional bathroom in the basement.

Step 4: Choose a sump pump that offers longer warranty.

Step 5: Look for a pump that is made of cast iron, which can handle the wear and tear of a basement.

How to install a sump pump?

Step 1: Diagnose the problem.

Step 2: Dig a sump pit.

Step 3: Install the pumping system.

REMEMBER: It's best to hire a professional.

How to contact Vulcan Waterproofing for sump pump installation?

Step 1: Go here and get in touch with a basement waterproofing specialist.

Step 2: Or, call 877 885-2268.

Does your service get star ratings and reviews?

Yes. Marjie Seras gave a five-star rating in October 11, 2015.

"We have had our sump pump for 5 years. Vulcan was professional, neat and clean I would highly recommend them for any basement work!"

M. Falkow lives in Mercerville, NJ. After hiring us, we're happy to receive a positive review.

“We want to thank the crew who did the waterproofing job in our basement today. They arrived on schedule; explained what they were going to do and got right to the job. They worked straight through and finished the job in one day. Upon completion, they did a great clean up job.

All debris was removed from our property. They also explained what they did, the operation of the sump pump and went over the guarantee. They reassured us that if there were any questions, feel free to contact the office. I compliment the men for their efficiency and professionalism.”

Gregor Petranek gave a five-star rating and wrote a review in May 6, 2014.

"VULCAN provided a cost estimate and the actual work was completed in 1 day, which consisted of 50 feet of interior drain pipe in two locations and 2 sump pumps. The workers were clean, polite and professional. The system is working just as if was new. Great system!"

Vulcan Waterproofing Conducts Free Basement Inspection in East Coast

This fall season, Vulcan Waterproofing will conduct a free basement inspection to all residential and commercial properties in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

vulcan_waterproofing_specialist
A waterproofing specialist, with selected trainees, will arrive in your doorstep and will perform a free assessment. It begins with the specialist leading the team. They will examine the basement and its surrounding areas.

Barbara Spiegel posted a five-star review and said, “In November of 2011, Vulcan came and waterproofed my basement. I have not had a drop of water since. I no longer worry when it rains now, and my family has a great new family room to hang out in.”

Leaks and cracks are the primary causes of basement water problems. Free inspection means expected problems become visible. These are but not limited to extreme humidity, rough floor surfaces, wall cracks, pipeline leaks and sump pump breakdown.

Gregnor P of Queens New York wrote a five-star review, “I was referred to Vulcan Basement Waterproofing by one of my neighbors who were very happy with them. This was my first time using them. I needed to have them install two sump pumps.

One of them was in the front of my home at 25 feet and the other was in the back of my home at 25 feet. The technicians were very pleasant and informative. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing. The system is working excellent. I have already recommended them to other people.”

After a thorough examination, the specialist will openly discuss the repair process and necessary price adjustments with the owner. Repairs only occur after a formal agreement between the two.

Vulcan Waterproofing began its operation in 1947. Its service areas were made available to Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and in Orange, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, Westchester County, Fairfield County, Newark, Philadelphia, Harrisburg and New Castle.

The company successfully solved below-ground water problems for more than 65 years. Within the time frame, more than 500,000 basements went a series of thorough renovation and more than 500,000 homeowners felt happy.

Joe Kerrigan of Stamford, Connecticut was one of them, “Kudos to the employees at Vulcan Waterproofing. I only wish I hadn't waited so long to have my basement waterproofed. Thanks to all, job well done!”
